Certification and Testing
The best way to prepare for the exam is to take the eLearning course that is included as part of the certification program. The course is broken into modules that allow the information to be digested at a reasonable pace. Sample questions at the end of each module help you prepare for the full 90-question, timed certification exam.
You can access the exam in the iLearning Center, which contains the course content and the exam.
The test is timed; once started, you have 90 minutes to answer the 90 multiple-choice questions in the exam. There is no way to stop the timer, so please ensure you're ready to fully engage for the duration of the exam. Any unanswered questions will be counted as incorrect when the timer is up.
The CSP certification exam is offered online and can be taken at will. It is not a proctored exam. The exam is timed to help ensure that individuals have enough time to consider each question, but not enough time to research answers.
You'll be notified immediately that you've passed the exam and can claim your designation as a Customer Service Professional in Print. Your name will be added to our online registry (you can choose to opt out of this if you wish) and you will receive a digital "Customer Service Professional" badge that you may add to your email signature, social media profile, or website.
If you do not pass the certification exam, you will have the option to take it again at a later date. Individuals who wish to try the test again can do so by purchasing a certification exam retake.
Immediately following the exam you receive a list of the questions you missed; however, we will not provide the correct answers. This is to maintain the integrity of the certification program.
4-5 hours for the course, knowledge assessments, and the final certification exam.
